Saturday April 8th
The big day finally arrived and I was so excited! My flight was at 11am and N gave me a ride to the airport. I had a six hour flight to Honolulu and then around 1-2 hour to Kona on the Big Island 😀 I arrived a the hotel around 6pm and met Annie, a Swedish girl from my group. We got our room and after a quick fresh up we went out for a walk and dinner. We found a cozy bar with a view over the ocean 😀

Sunday April 9th
We woke up and got ready before we walked down to eat breakfast – oatmeal, fruits, toast and coffee 🙂 After breakfast we decided to go out and just look around. We found a cool beach, took a look at the Sunday Market (where we saw the biggest avocado we’ve ever seen!), we found another beach where you could try Stand Up Paddleboarding, which we did and it was really fun! After a some time at the beach we found a nice place to have lunch, so good! Back to the hotel to change and Annie was going to a local event – Luau, so decided to meet up with some other girls from the group. We spent the time at the beach, walked around and looked in the shops and dinner 🙂

Monday April 10th
The start of the tour! After breakfast Annie and I walked down to the lobby to meet the rest of the group and our tour guide. We had a little welcome meeting before we packed the van and took off to Costco to go grocery shopping, well our guide did and we waited in the car 😛 After like an hour he came back and we started the drive to our first Camp. On the way we stopped for lunch, so yummy! Our first camp was at Ho’okena Beach Park. After putting the tents up we changed into swimsuits, had some good drinks and our guide had bought this big floaty that we all could sit in so we had a fun party out on the ocean 😀 It was so cool to camp on the beach and lie inside the tent at night and hear the waves outside!
