Hawaii :D (Part 3)

Thursday April 13th
After breakfast we jumped in the Van and drove to Rainbow Falls, really beautiful! After a while of walking around we went to Hilo where walked around and the market. I bought a dress with Hawaii pattern and a smoothie 🙂 After this we went to Ahalanui Warm Pond it was nice and we spent maybe 3-4 hours here just relaxing in the warm water. Before we left we had some fresh coconut drink, not my favorite but it was on my bucket list! Mitchell came back to pick us up and we took off to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where we did a bike ride out to a Lava Flow, it was so cool to see real lava flowing out in the ocean! Back to camp for a late dinner.

Friday April 14th
First stop of the day was Kilauea Iki Lava lake and near by was a rain forest that we walked through to get to the Lava Tube 🙂 After that we went to Honoli’i Stream which was a beach where a river and the ocean meets, it was a very rocky beach. We were not allowed to go out in the ocean cause there were big waves and very strong currents so we had to stay in the river and it was bit cold so we spent most of the time up on the beach. Next stop was Akaka Falls another beautiful waterfall 🙂 After this we had around a two hour drive back to Kona, we got some free time to just walk around and later in the evening we had dinner at a restaurant, so good 😀

Saturday April 15th
We got ready for the and drove to Pololu Valley a beautiful lookout point and we were gonna hike down to the beach. After spending some time taking photos we walked back and it was time for some beach time and not just any beach – Hapuna Beach (one of the worlds top 10 beaches) and it was a really good beach! We spent the rest of the day there just sunbathing and enjoyed the ocean 😀 After the beach we all got ready for our last night together and we had a pizza on Old Kona Airport State Beach and we saw a beautiful sunset! It’s always a bittersweet feeling when an amazing adventure comes to and end. I think we all wished the trip could have been longer!

This trip was so amazing and I wish I could do it all over again! I’m so recommending this trip with Au Pair Adventures if you want to go to Hawaii, it’s so worth it and you really get to see and explore Hawaii 😀
