Leavenworth! :D

Friday November 24th
Arter a nice and fun Thanksgiving (November 23rd) with Nick's family 🙂 Nick and I had a weekend getaway to Leavenworth! It's about a two hour drive there and we arrived around lunch time and met up with one of Nick's friends for pizza, yummy 😋 After lunch we went to a beer garden for some drinks until it was time to say goodbye to the friend and for us to go to our hotel. The hotel was super cozy and quiet. Our room had a king size bed and a fireplace 😍 We got ready for the night and went out into town, the Christmas lights were in and it was so beautiful and we walked around the shops. For dinner I had found a restaurant in an article about 30 places you have to eat at in Washington and one of the restaurant where here in Leavenworth so we decided we wanted to eat there. Unfortunately they didn't take reservations and the waiting list was over two hours 🙁 A little sad we walked away but found another good place for some yummy German food and drinks! After dinner we walked back to our hotel for free desert and had hot cocoa in front of the fireplace while watching a movie 🙂

Saturday November 25th
After a good breakfast we got ready for the day and headed out to town and walked around and looked in the shops. In one of them I found my favorite chocolate box that I haven't eaten in two years so I got super happy! 😀 We had lunch at a local brewery, yummy turkey sandwiches. We walked around some more and went wine tasting 🙂 Then we went back to our hotel and sat by the fire with some sparkling wine before I took a nice and warm bubble bath 😍After this we got ready for the night. We had booked a table at a nice Italian restaurant and it was so good 😋 Back to the hotel for our dessert while we watched a college football game. When the game was over we changed into swimsuits and went out to the hot tub 😊 We ended the night with a movie in front of the fireplace in our room 🙂

Sunday November 26th
After breakfast we packed up our stuff and checked out from our room and went for a walk along a river and a park. Found a lunch place and had Bratwursts and hot cocoa while we waited for some of my Swedish friends to arrive for the day. When they came we showed them around 🙂 After a while we ended up at the same local brewery as he other say to watch the Seahawks game. Nick and I did some beer tasting and enjoyed the game and company. We all had coffee at Starbucks until it got dark and we walked around to see the Christmas lights 🙂 When it was time to leave Nick and I walked back to our hotel where our car was parked and we started driving. After maybe 20 minutes we got a warning sign on that one of the tires was low on air. We were in the middle of nowhere with no service and it was dark. Luckily we came to a gas station and pulled up to the air station but when Nick is about to put air in we hear that the tire is leaking. So there we were in the rain and dark with no service, we got the manual it and started reading but couldn't find anything about a spare tire. I kind of know how to change a tire cause my host dad has shown me but that is on my small car and not on a big car. After a while we decided to go back to Leavenworth, we went to Starbucks to get service and charge our phones. Nick called his dad and he called for AAA that after a while came and changed our tire. We started our journey home, slowly since we now had a spare tire and when we drove through the mountains the snow was pouring down! We eventually made it home safe.

We had a wonderful time! 😍
