Chicago, April 13th – 15th! :D

On friday April 13th Nick and I went up super early to catch our flight at 6:55 am to Chicago, that has been on my bucket list ever since I got to USA! Before our trip we had bought Chicago City Pass, which is a booklet with discounted tickets to all the tourist activities. So after checking in at our hotel we walked to the Art Institute. We spent maybe around an hour there cause that’s what we had before they were closing but for us it was enough of time to see what we wanted. We walked over to Millennium Park to see the famous “The bean” 😀 For dinner we went to a small pizza restaurant to finally have some real Deep dish pizza and it was delicious!!

Saturday April 14th
After breakfast we took an uber to the Field Museum, where they have the most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex called Sue but we were unlucky that they were making renovations so they had taken her down to move here to a new exhibition room. After some hours walking around the different exhibitions we went to Shedd Aquarium 🙂 In the evening we had a fancy dinner at Signature room on the 95th floor. The weather was not with us (on the whole trip) so the view was just white clouds, so you could say we had dinner up in the clouds. The food was delicious and our waiter was really nice and gave us free dessert as a congrats on our engagement! 😀

Sunday April 15th
On this day we had bought tickets to go see a Chicago cubs baseball game but it got cancelled because of the rain. We did go to the Skydeck, the ledge on the 103rd floor! But like I said the weather was not on our side so there was zero view but it was an experience anyway cause I’m super scared of heights. We also went to the Chicago greeting mural before it was time to go to the airport and go back to Seattle. Overall I loved Chicago and I can’t wait to go back in the future! 😀
