Europe – Part 1! :D

June 28th

Nick and I got up early and my dad drove us to the airport for our 08:10 flight to Amsterdam 🙂 After checking in to our Hotel we met up with Nick’s family that had flown in from USA the night before. We all went to the Avocado Show, it’s a restaurant where they only serve stuff with avocado in pretty creations and it was delicious 😀 After this we all walk around in the city, trying not to the get run over by all the bikes and the crazy traffic! In the afternoon Nick and I split off and went to our hotel to get ready for Ed Sheeran concert 😀

June 29th

In the morning Nick and I had delicious breakfast at a local cafe.

This day we all went to Volendam a cute little town by the water and we took a boat out to Marken. Everything was so pretty and it was hearing Nick’s grandpa who is from Holland talk about his memories 🙂 In the afternoon we went to Haarlem, we visitied an old church where Mozart had played when he was 10 years old. It was so beautiful! After this we had a nice dinner outside in the sun with a view over the church and the town square 🙂

June 30th

This day we went to Kinderdijk and Scheveningen Strand (Beach). Kinderdijk is a good place to see old windmills and you also get to go up in one and read and learn about the history of the family that lived and worked in a windmill. At Scheveningen Beach we walked around the beach and had a nice dinner at a restaurant right by the beach 🙂

July 2nd

This day we went to Nick’s grandpas childhood town and he showed us his old house and told us all the stories from while he was living there, behind his house was a community center that we also went to see. He showed us his old school, and we were allowed inside and a teacher showed us around and in the end Nick’s grandpa got to say hi and talk in front of a class 🙂 We also visited his old church, and there Nick’s cousin got to play the organ.

After a day with a lot of interesting information we had a big dinner at our house 🙂

July 3rd

This was our last day in Holland so we just decided to relax and pack. In the evening me and Nick + his family went out for dinner and on our way home we stopped by to watch some cows 🙂
