Last Christmas in Sweden, for a while!
December 24th 2018
This years Christmas my first Christmas in Sweden in two years and my last one for a while. I love Christmas at home, in Sweden and it was so nice to be back with my family 😀 In Sweden we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve has been celebrated the same way since I don’t know, for a very long time. It starts in the morning with me watching the last episode of the Christmas show/calendar, then for breakfast I usually have risgrynsgröt, kind of like a rice pudding. For lunch me, my grandma and grandpa has a little Swedish Christmas Smorgasbord, I’ve missed this food so much!! After a delicious lunch I start getting ready, around 2:30 pm we go over to my cousins house, just in time to watch the traditional Kalle (Donald Duck) show at 3 pm, this is something I don’t want to miss no matter how old I get. While watching this we usual have some Swedish Fika. Around 6 pm we have dinner, Norwegian Christmas food and dessert, so good! After dinner it’s finally time to open up the gifts and after we just hangout, probably having coffee and a second fika because you can never have to much fika 😀

This day is just for relaxing and when you were kid, to play with all your new toys! It is one of the biggest nights to go out and party and all the clubs have tickets, because a lot of people is home for Christmas. Usually me and my friends go out but this year we all wanted to stay home with our families 🙂
