Weekend trip!

Friday June 16th
After work Nick came and picked me up and we went over to his parents house to borrow their bigger car for out trip to Index, WA.
Nick and I packed the car and went out for dinner and grocery shopping. Index is a small town around an hour from Seattle and Nick’s grandma grew up there and they still have the house so we were staying there. When we arrived it was dark out and we unpacked the car, fixed some popcorn and watched a movie.

Saturday June 17th
We woke up early and had breakfast, packed lunch, snacks and got ready for the hike. We drove to the hiking spot, we were gonna hike to Wallace falls. The hike was really nice with some really good views, especially the waterfall. I find waterfalls so peaceful and of course beautiful 😀 After the hike we went to Zeke’s drive in and had shared a delicious burger with fries! When we got back to the house we showered and then went out for a walk and sat down by the river. Back at the house again we played some video games before we fixed dinner, which I had cooked before since the stove was broken. I had cooked spaghetti with Swedish meat sauce and a salad, it tasted really good! After dinner we continued to play video games and we had a lot of fun 😀

Sunday June 18th
We woke up early, had breakfast and started to pack all of our things and made sure the house looked good. After this we drove to another hike the Iron Goat Trail. On this trail you get to see old railroads and a long the way there’s signs about them so it was pretty cool. The first part (lower part) was a pretty easy hike. When we got to the end of the lower trail we decided to go up to Windy Point Lookout and that trail was just uphill and at some parts kinda steep but we made it and the view was awesome even though it was a bit cloudy. We sat down and had our lunch before starting our way back and we decided to take the upper part of the trail instead of taking the same way back. The upper part trail was a bit overgrown so it felt like walking in a jungle with all the bushes and waterfalls everywhere. In the end it felt like we had been walking and walking and that there’s was no end cause it all looked the same but we finally made it back to the car and in time. We started our way back and we realized we had forgotten something at the house so we were just gonna swing by and get it and we also had a cup of coffee. After this we left the house and started to drive back to Seattle and we thought that we would make it back for the Father’s day dinner with Nick’s family but the traffic was really bad in the beginning. We both started to get stressed and we realized that we had to go straight to the restaurant in our sweaty hiking clothes! After a yummy dinner at the Tokyo Steakhouse we went to Nick’s parents house and watched a movie 🙂

It was an amazing weekend 😀
